Prolific and widely acclaimed Arohee , a group theatre with a difference, established in the year 1987, 15th August has taken on the tremendous task of pursuing theatre as a living art moving with the time and not stagnating.Arohee's originality and reputation lies in its style together with its commitments towards society. Arohee's objective is to carryout a meaningful social discourse in the crucible of the time past and the time present.
OBJECTIVESTo perform 'Dramas' at all over Inida & elsewhere to promote Culture & Art.To avoid anti-social dramas.To organise Classes, Seminars, Festivals, Workshops etc. on drama severally or jointly with any such organisation.To establish an Institute to impart Scientific Education on Theatre.To accept donations, grants, presents and other offerings and to deal with the same for carrying out the objectives and to raise money and funds in such manner as may be deemed fit.
ACTIVITIESPRODUCTION OF PLAYS Since the formation of the Theatre Group on 15th,August 1987 ; Arohee has taken on the task of producing plays on a regular basis.
Arohee's maiden production 'MANUSER JAYNYA' was first staged on 24th January1988 and had the rare distinction of being invited in the verious Theatre Festival organised by differents theatre organisation in west Bengal.
SHOWS During the last 21st year AROHEE has travelled throughout the Country to stage their dramas.Arohee has the outstanding opportunity of participating in almost all the Festivals organised by STATE DRAMA ACADEMY, Information & Cultural Affairs Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

Frist day of arohee
It was 15th August 1987. We gather together 8 friends at Saheb-Para railway colony.
SATYAKI,RANJAN,DEBASISH,DOLA,NITISH,MANUDA,PINKU&BABLU.
Started our theatre organisation.
Dola suggested the name "AROHEE ".
ENORMOUSLY THE NAME WAS ACCEPTED.
SATYAKI WAS OUR FOUNDER SECRETARY.
